After serving Southern Baptist Churches in Southern Louisiana and across Texas for thirteen years in the field of Music & Education Ministry, I was called as Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Lovelady, TX March 11, 2012 (www.abclovelady.com). Here, I have the unique privilege of serving a church family that is hungry for the Word of God and passionate about seeing the hand of our Lord move in a mighty way. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Lamar University, a Master of Arts in Religion (Specialization in Pastoral Counseling) from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Educational Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. My book Mile Markers: Stages of Growth Along the Journey Toward Spiritual Maturity is scheduled for release by the end of the year. You can read more about it by clicking here: Mile Markers.
Vanessa and I were married in April of 2001 and we have two amazing sons, Ethan and Aaron. Both sets of our parents are in the ministry and have been since we were children. Together, we live our lives on mission for God’s glory. We love to fish, golf, watch movies, and cheer on our LSU Tigers every football season.
All in all, I am just a real person with real problems seeking to know a real, personal God. It is my prayer that the writings and musings of this blog, as well as my book Mile Markers, will propel both you and me into a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as we evaluate all things from a biblical perspective.
